What do you need to be a trainer or assessor?

The AQTF Essential Conditions and Standards for Initial Registration and the AQTF Essential Conditions and Standards for Continuing Registration requires all trainers and assessors to have the necessary training and assessment competencies as determined by the National Quality Council or its successors. What do you need to be a trainer or assessor?

The AQTF 2007 Essential Standards for Registration require all assessors to have designated assessment and vocational competencies at least to the level being assessed. Trainers must also have the necessary training and assessment competencies (as determined by the National Quality Council) and be able to demonstrate vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered (standard 1.4).
