Your Australian Apprentice must make every effort to acquire the skills and knowledge required to successfully complete their Australian Apprenticeship. This means the Australian Apprentice must fulfill their work and training responsibilities.
Australian Apprentice work responsibilities include:

performing work in a professional and courteous manner

taking care of workplace property and resources

understanding the conditions of employment and following health and safety rules

respecting the rights of others the workplace

remembering information obtained while in your employment must be kept confidential and not disclosed without your approval

obtaining consent from a parent or guardian, if they are under 18 years of age.
Australian Apprentice training responsibilities include:

making all reasonable efforts to achieve the competencies specified in the training plan and undertaking any training and assessment required

participating in the development of the training plan

attending training sessions or supervised workplace activities and taking advantage of learning opportunities

accepting instructions and training in the vocation both on and off-the-job

maintaining a record of training such as a training record book.
Australian Apprentices must familiarise themselves and understand the conditions of employment, the Apprenticeship/Traineeship Training Contract, training plan and the National Code of Good Practice in New Apprenticeships.
If the Australian Apprentice is under 18 years of age, the parent or guardian identified in the Training Contract must uphold the Australian Apprentice's responsibilities. When the apprentice or trainee turns 18, the guardian is no longer a party to the Training Contract.
