Browser compatibility and screen resolution
Training.com.au is best viewed with a screen resolution of 800 X 600 pixels or higher. To see the images and colours correctly, you will need to set your colour quality above or at 256 colours. See the help files on your operating system for more information on how to adjust the quality of your display output.
Training.com.au is compatible with most popular web browsers, including Internet Explorer and FireFox.

Navigation
Training.com.au has a global navigation bar across the top of each page that links to the main channels of the site. The left hand column contains a subnavigation menu that links to pages residing under each main channel.

Search
The keyword search input box is located in the top right hand corner of all the pages on training.com.au. To use the simple keyword search, type a keyword/s and press enter or click 'GO'. If your search is successful, the search results will appear in order of relevance.
Search tips:

Use specific, descriptive words instead of general ones. For example, typing in apprenticeship funding RTOs instead of funding, increases your chances of finding what you are looking for.

Searches do not recognise capitalisation. All searches on training.com.au treat upper- and lower-case letters the same.

There is no need to use AND between search terms. Training.com.au automatically performs the search using AND between words separated by a space.
Adobe PDF files
Training.com.au provides some documents which are in Portable Document Format (PDF). PDF is the open de facto standard for electronic document distribution worldwide. Adobe PDF files are compact and can be shared, viewed, navigated, and printed exactly as intended by anyone with the free Adobe Acrobat Software.
This format has been employed due to the size and nature of the documents.

Accessibility
Wherever possible, training.com.au adheres to the accessibility standards outlined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These standard include using ALT tags for all images, summaries for data tables and access keys. Access keys let you jump to specific areas of the site by using keyboard shortcuts. The keys to each shortcut on training.com.au are defined below. To use them: On Windows, press ALT + the access key; on Apple Macintosh, press Control + an access key. For example, on Internet Explorer on Windows, to jump to the home page press ALT + 1 and then press enter.
