Responding to tenders
A tender document should be thoroughly read and understood before any response is written. Clarify any unclear points or selection criteria with the issuing agency.
Evaluators will look for the RTO to demonstrate its ability to meet all the selection criteria detailed in the tender, so be sure to address all the criteria in a tender response. Make a plan or a checklist to follow to ensure the response complies with all the tender requirements.
When writing the response, it’s a good idea to follow the sequence and numbering of the tender document itself so that the evaluators can easily match the response to the corresponding section of the tender document.
And finally, know the closing date, time and address for the lodgement of the tender response and make sure it arrives in the required place by the required time.
