How to register in the Northern Territory

The Department of Employment, Education and Training (DEET) – Employment and Training Division manages the registration of training organisations in the Northern Territory.

The process is in four parts:

1. Preparation

a) Download the Application Form from the DEET website.
b) Read and understand the following documents to ensure your organisation meets the standards:

The application process requires you to:

  • provide a profile of the organisation, including practices and procedures
  • detail the type of training the organisation will deliver
  • sign a declaration of your commitment to oprate in accordance with the AQTF

3. Approval of application

DEET will process your application and contact you concerning:

  • any additional information required
  • a proposed date and arrangements for the registration visit to assess how your organisation meets the required standards.

4. Length of registration

Your training organisation will be registered for up to five years once your initial registration has been formally approved.
