Duration and Study Load
- 12 months
- To attain the CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support a total of 18 units of competency must be successfully completed comprising of fifteen (15) core units and three (3) elective units
Entry Requirements
- It is preferred that the students have obtained a minimum of a School Certificate or equivalent
- Students will be required to complete and pass a Working With Vulnerable People Check (including a national police check) in the state or territory that they are working in prior to commencing work in this field

Work Placement
- Students must undertake a minimum of 120 logged working hours within an Approved Service which will allow you to complete a range of applicable work tasks
- If students are not currently working for a suitable facility, students are encouraged to locate their own work placement locations. Your trainer will be able to assist if you have any difficulties
- Students will be provided with a Practicum Booklet that will detail the tasks to be completed and log the work placement hours
- The Trainer/ Assessor will visit each student in the workplace to assess the skills required in this qualification
Recognition of Prior Learning
- Collaboration Learning recognises that some students have had previous experience and learning whether that be working in the industry or completion of a previous course of study
- We are happy to discuss Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) with students. Each student requesting RPL will be interviewed and they should provide a portfolio of evidence to support their application and may be assessed on the job
- On-the-job assessments can be conducted to assess current skills and knowledge
