Delivery
The course is delivered’ online through an easy-to-use, e-learning platform that stores the learning (reading) material and assessment tasks. Almost everything is managed through the online portal.
Unlike other training providers, though, we only assign students with one primary Assessor to mark all of your assessments from start to finish. It’s one of our personal touches. By working with only one Assessor, you get the advantage of building rapport with an industry expert who can better guide and support you because they will get to know you and will have an understanding of your specific needs and circumstances.
Work Placement
This course requires a minimum of 120 hours of work placement.
Work placement is a structured program that will give you real life, on-the-job experience and the opportunity to practice what you learn. It’s mandatory for anyone who isn’t already working in the job role which means that if you’re in the industry but not working in the actual job, you’ll still need to provide evidence of having completed the minimum number of placement hours.
At NCA, we’ll give you the opportunity to find a placement but if you get stuck, we’ll step in and work with you to organise a suitable host. We take care of the administrative process in setting you up for placement and we prepare you so you get the most out of it.
Recognition of Prior Learning
If you have related prior qualifications and professional experience, you could be eligible for RPL (recognition) which means you could be exempt from having to study part or all of a qualification.
It’s a smart way to move up and remain current by holding the most updated qualification. RPL is a process which starts with a simple self-assessment questionnaire so we can advise you to proceed with the application or suggest some further training or experience.
Assessment
This course is designed on competency-based learning, which means there are no tests or exams. Instead, there are a range of assessment tasks, including:
- Short answer questions
- Written activities
- Projects
- Observation of practical skills
- Portfolio based evidence
Testimonials
-
"...A great big huge thank you to you for your time and support throughout the duration of this course. I believe a credit should go out to you for your amazing response and turn around time with assessing my units. This quick response time really reduced my nerves and would help any anxiety that people may have developed. Getting good feedback was both refreshing and reassuring and getting the right answer of 'competent' from you was always welcoming. Thank You again!"James. HCertificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
