Course overview
Youth workers are responsible for implementing policies and guidelines of the employing organisation. Your work will be largely self-directed, with fairly autonomous decision-making capacity under the indirect supervision of a manager.
This course prepares you for a role that will develop and monitor programs and services helping to meet the social, behavioural, health, welfare, developmental and protection needs of young people. The work may be undertaken through employment in the community, or in government and welfare agencies.
The course has an ideal balance of theory and practical learning to ensure your confidence when entering the workforce.
