Why study this course?
Included in this course are the Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2® 6th edition manual and the PRINCE2 Foundation Exam. On completion of the Foundation course, students will be provided supporting AXELOS membership services online.
PRINCE2 is a process-based approach for project management, providing an easily tailored and scalable method for the management of all types of projects, across industries, both locally and internationally. The continued international development of PRINCE2 examinations, training and course material is contributing significantly to the recognition of PRINCE2 as a truly relevant and international project management standard.
By attending our 3-day PRINCE2 Foundation Course, participants will understand:
- The 7 Principles, 7 Themes and 7 Processes that underpin the PRINCE2 project management method
- The purpose and content of the PRINCE2 Process Map
- Key roles and responsibilities in a PRINCE2 project
- How to apply project management processes to effectively control the preparation, execution and closure phases of a project
By completing the Foundation course, participants will have sufficient knowledge to sit the PRINCE2 Foundation Examination.

PRINCE2 at DDLS
PRINCE2 is a process-based approach for project management, providing an easily tailored and scalable method for the management of all types of projects, across industries, both locally and internationally. The continued international development of PRINCE2 examinations, training and course material is contributing significantly to the recognition of PRINCE2 as a truly relevant and international project management standard.
Assessment
Exam
This course pricing includes a voucher for the PRINCE2 Foundation Exam, which is an online proctored exam through PeopleCert. Practice exam papers are provided in the course and reviewed to assist in preparation.
The exam is:
- One hour (60 minutes) duration
- 60 multiple-choice questions
- The pass mark is 33 out of 60 (i.e. 55%)
- Closed book
After passing the exam, each student’s certificate will be made available to them via PeopleCert.
It is highly recommended that you spend some time each evening of this course reviewing and consolidating what you’ve learned, to be well prepared for the exam.
Note: Students are strongly encouraged to attend the Practitioner course immediately after the Foundation course. This is because the Practitioner exam requires strong current knowledge of the PRINCE2 6th edition manual. This knowledge is gained in the Foundation course and therefore is still fresh for assisting with passing the Practitioner exam.
