The Certificate IV in Fitness qualifies you to be a personal trainer, which is the most common career pathway in the fitness industry. To study the Certificate IV in Fitness there are prerequisite units, which are included in the Certificate III in Fitness. The Certificate III & IV in Fitness includes the full Certificate III in Fitness (15 units of competency) whereas the PT Direct Pathway only includes the 9 units required for entry into the Certificate IV in Fitness. This can help you get qualified as PT up to 25% quicker than the full Certificate III & IV in Fitness bundle.

Work Placement
Work placement (optional)

This is an optional course requirement and is recommended, especially for students who haven’t had much exposure in gyms.
Professional Recognition
Nationally Recognised Training
Upon completion of your prerequisite units, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the units completed within the nationally accredited SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness. Upon completion of Certificate IV in Fitness, you will receive the Nationally Recognised SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness. As a Registered Training Organisation delivering nationally recognised training you can feel assured your certification is of a high standard and meets industry and government requirements.
AUSACTIVE
Your Certificate IV in Fitness will equate to 20 CECs (Continuing Education Credits) and will meet the requirements to register with AusActive, as a Personal Trainer (Certificate IV in Fitness). This membership includes the ability to obtain discounted professional insurance with Guild Insurance.
FITREC
The Certificate IV in Fitness is recognised with Level A courses, with a point allocation of 60 each. Upon successful completion of your qualifications, you will be eligible to register with FITREC. This membership includes the ability to obtain discounted professional insurance with BIZCOVER or Gallagher Insurance.
