Melbourne Institute of Business Technology – MIBT
Melbourne Institute of Business Technology – MIBT is an alternative pathway into Deakin University undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. MIBT Diploma courses are equivalent to Deakin University’s first year bachelor degree.
MIBT is your opportunity to get into one of Australia’s very best universities – even if you didn’t get the ATAR score you needed to go straight into Year 1 of your degree. By taking a diploma with MIBT, you’ll still study at the university, but you’ll get the extra support you need to get you up to the right level within 12 months. You can even take the fasttrack option and complete your diploma in just 2 semesters, meaning you’ll finish the equivalent of Year 1 at university in just 8 months. You can then join your friends in Year 2 of the Bachelor degree.
Basically MIBT can be seen as a step between High School and University:
High School > MIBT > University.
MIBT have a campus in Melbourne (Burwood), two in Geelong (Waterfront and Waurn Ponds) and one in Jakarta, Indonesia. There are a range of study areas from Business and Management to Science, Engineering and many more.
Please note: MIBT has recently changed it’s name to Deakin College and is a direct pathway to Deakin University. To view the update profile for Deakin College please click here.
