The workplace will need to be involved in the delivery of professional allied health services, including speech pathology services, to clients. Students will need access to a range of different clients and speech pathology programs for assessment purposes, including clients requiring speech and language support, clients with dysphagia and clients who are being supported by Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) systems. Whilst on your placement, you will also need to assist the Speech Pathologist in the initial and/or ongoing assessment/screening of clients, as well as assisting in the preparation and provision of Texture Modified Foods and Fluids to clients. |
