The National VET Data Strategy
On 1 July 2011, oversight of the National VET Data Strategy and its projects was transferred from the National VET Data Strategy Action Group to the Data and Performance Measurement Principal Committee following a directive from MCTEE.
A number of initiatives are either complete or underway to improve the relevance, timeliness, accuracy and usefulness of VET data for national reporting and research purposes.
These initiatives relate to a suite of projects known collectively as the National VET Data Strategy. The furtherance of these projects is the decision and responsibility of the Data and Performance Measurement Principal Committee.
The implementation of the original work plan of the National VET Data Strategy was formerly agreed by the Ministerial Council for Tertiary Education and Employment (MCTEE) in January 2010.
Decisions on any further work on these projects post 1 July 2011 is made by the Data and Performance Measurement Principal Committee.
