FAQs

How many years is an information technology course?

Industry Leader Answer
It depends on what sort of qualification you’re looking for. A certificate course could take about 6 months and will give you a basic understanding of IT, a diploma will take about one year and is a good way of upskilling. A bachelor’s degrees is about three years and will teach you almost everything you need to get a full-time career within IT. If you’re seeking a middle level or upper-level job position with a higher salary, you may also want to continue on at university and complete a master’s degree which is generally an additional year or two. If choosing this path you’ll be well qualified for positions in large organisations assisting with major projects.
