The Australian Government in response to the department of state growth is attempting to fill skills gaps by funding specific courses for those within the Commonwealth of Australia. This includes QLD, NSW, VIC and Tasmania.
There are a number of qualifications and courses that may be government-funded. They include Certificate III, Certificate IV and sometimes even diploma level qualifications, including an advanced diploma. These are usually taught through a TAFE or other vocational education and training provider. These are available all over Tasmania, including in Hobart and Launceston. Many studies that are funded are short courses, and as such can be completed within a year or two. That means that if you live in Queensland, Victoria, NSW, or any other Australian state, you could move to Tasmania for a relatively short time in order to complete your education, with many courses offering both full-time and part-time study options, although you do have to be a permanent resident to take advantage of funding programs.
