The Certificate III in Information Technology is designed for individuals starting their career in the ICT industry. This qualification reflects the role of workers who are competent across a range of information and communications technology areas, including networking, programming, systems, web development, basic cloud computing, cyber awareness, and digital media. Students develop a broad skill set, combining technical ability with critical thinking and customer service skills to support technologies, processes, and clients in a variety of work environments. At this level, work is carried out under supervision, providing a solid foundation for further study or entry-level employment in the ICT sector.

Eligibility for subsidised training:

You are eligible for a subsidised training place if you have left school, your primary place of residence is in Western Australia and you are:

  • an Australian citizen: or

  • holders of a sub-class 300, 309, 444, 445, 449, 461, 785, 786, 790, or 820 visa;

  • secondary holders of a temporary visa of subclass 188, 457, 482, 489, 491 or 494 visa;

  • holders of a Bridging Visa E (subclasses 050 and 051) where the visa holder has made a valid application for a visa of subclass 785 or 790;

  • holders of a bridging visa who are eligible to work, and who have made a valid application for a subclass 866.
