Course Overview
The Diploma of Community Services qualification reflects the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities.
At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously under broad directions from senior management. Workers are usually providing direct support to individuals or groups of individuals.

Entry Requirements
- Completion of CHC32015Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent industry experience is preferred prior to commencing this course.
- If you do not meet the entry requirements of CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services, we recommend applying for CHC32015Certificate III in Community Services or CHC42015 Certificate IV in Community Services, both available with Industry Skills Training
- Students must have prior work or study experience in Community Services
- You will probably be currently employed in the industry or have very recent experience

The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a voluntary, confidential and complimentary counselling service which is dedicated to providing new and existing Industry Skills Training students with free and confidential counselling services to help with their mental health and well-being.

- 200 hours of work placement is required

Subjects
A total of 20 units are required to complete this qualification; twelve (12) core and eight (8) elective units. Unit selection may vary dependent on delivery method and location.
