What you'll learn

  • Gain essential skills for the Victorian Building Authority registration in residential or commercial building.
  • Learn building codes, estimating, site management, OHS policies, contracts, materials, Labor scheduling, and business management.

Entry requirements

The CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) course is intended for learners already holding the Certificate IV in Building and Construction or its equivalent. It is structured to apply the synergies that exist between the CPC50220 Diploma course and CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction course.

Age

18 years or older.

English Language

Proof of meeting one of the following:

  • Passed VCE English or VCE ESL at year 12 level or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated sufficient LLN skills through pre-training review process.

  • Evaluation includes assessment of:
  • Language, Literacy, and Numeracy skills.
  • Understanding of course structure.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Motivation for course enrolment
