FAQs

Do you need qualifications to work in aged care?

Industry Leader Answer
Almost all support and carer positions require training qualifications of some kind. A certificate or a diploma can offer you the base instructions going into an aged care position and on the job experience is what makes up the rest of it. Many experienced carers may also choose to undertake further study later in their careers to formalise their skills and gain accreditations. More than half of carers have a certificate or diploma qualification of some kind.
