What is Skilling South Australia?
Skilling SA is a government funding scheme run by the South Australian Government.
It helps pay part of the cost of vocational education and training courses, and student fees for apprenticeships and traineeships.
If you’re eligible for Skilling SA funding, the state government will pay your training provider directly when you enrol.

What courses does Skilling South Australia subsidise?
Skilling South Australia provides low-cost short courses (skill sets), apprenticeships and other vocational qualifications (like Certificate III and IVs) to give you the practical skills needed in Adelaide and SA’s fastest-growing industries.
The wide range of areas covered includes:
• Healthcare
• Cyber security
• Human resources
• Work health and safety
• Community services
Both TAFE institutes and approved Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) can provide Skilling South Australia funded courses.

Am I eligible for Skilling South Australia?
To be eligible for Skilling South Australia funding, you must:
• Be an Australian citizen, an Australian Permanent Resident, a New Zealand citizen, or an eligible Visa holder
• Live or work in South Australia
If you’re 16 or older, you must be doing your training through the Training Guarantee for SACE Students (TGSS).
If you’re under 16, you must be doing your training through a training contract.
Make an enquiry on a course to find out if you qualify to enrol with Skilling South Australia. The training provider will confirm your eligibility when they speak with you, and see if they have any open training places.
