As a Primary School Teacher, you’ll not only teach structured curriculum across many subjects. You’ll also foster the social, emotional and physical growth of your students. You’ll need a bachelor degree in education, majoring in primary education, or if you’ve done a relevant bachelor’s degree such as science or English, you can take on a postgraduate course in primary education.
Education Aides support teachers and students with non-teaching activities such as organising activities and helping children with difficulties. You will usually need a certificate III or IV in education support, though sometimes traineeships are available.
Early Childhood Educator
The role of an Early Childhood Educator is to teach kindergarten children the basics of learning and promote their overall development. You will either need a bachelor of education majoring in early childhood education, or if you have a teaching degree already you can take on a postgraduate qualification or diploma.
